Celebrating Five Years
Technically Speaking will turn five in March. What a ride it has been! We launched during the pandemic, hosted live sessions on Clubhouse, produced 80 episodes, and held in-person events in San Francisco, Oakland, Brooklyn, and Lisbon. It has been an incredible journey.
Building Global Community
From the start, Technically Speaking felt like the right thing to do, something the world truly needed. We have been able to create a platform and foster a global community. The show has been downloaded in over 100 countries. I still receive messages from people who have found inspiration, hope and insightful new perspectives and approaches through the diverse voices we have featured.
Reflections on 2024
This past year was one of highs and lows. I celebrated seven years at LinkedIn, a decade of living in California, and I got married over the summer. However, just eight days after my wedding, my mother passed away. It was devastating. She had been relentless in her support.
Her passing led me to re-evaluate many things, including the future of this project. After careful thought, I have decided to pause production on new episodes in their current format. We have had a great run, but the time investment has become too large to continue at this scale.
A New Chapter: Pivoting to Written Content
Technically Speaking will now pivot to written content with a focus on management, organizations and design leadership in this new era of AI. I believe we need fresh, actionable approaches to leading teams, both for individual contributors and managers. As someone who has been building teams and products for over a decade, I see this as a unique moment that demands an evolution in how we think and talk about leadership.
I plan to share best practices, experiences, and perspectives I have gained in hopes that they will inspire and guide you on your own journey. While select articles will be free, I will introduce a paid tier for deeper, and more comprehensive insights.

Do not worry, you can still access all previous Technically Speaking episodes for free. I also have a few unreleased episodes from last year that will be coming out this month, so stay tuned.
